A lifetime of admiration

We first met in the second grade of Euclid Grammar School, and we've been close friends ever since.

As time went on I had the honor of watching Jack not only succeed in many of life's challenges, but use his earnings to form a better San Diego.

And we became family.

The Tuesday prior to his passing, Mike Rogers and  I shared the honor of enjoying a meal at Jack's home.

It was all Jack – smiling as he shared his many experiences at Hoover High and San Diego State University.

He was a wonderful man – who left the world better off than when he came here.

I send my love to each and every one of you.
