A Son-in-Law’s Tribute to a Life Well-Lived

I am Jack’s son-in-law who married his youngest daughter. I would like to say thank you, Jack, for raising my wife the way you and Mary did. I could not have been blessed with a better woman. As a young man I saw the relationship that Jack and Mary had and I knew that I wanted to emulate that relationship with Jack’s daughter. I appreciate that they took me in as one of their own and loved me as a son showing me kindness for 45 years. The examples of marriage and family that Jack and Mary demonstrated will be forever imprinted on my heart. Not only were Jack and Mary role models as husband and wife, they were role models as grandparents. Their legacy lives on in our children as my kids have been blessed by two of the best grandparents any child could have. We take comfort knowing Jack has been reunited with Mary, the love of his life and my favorite mother-in-law. Together again forever.
